The ALIGN™ Partner Framework

A.L.I.G.N.™ – Attracting Love Intentionally, Grounded in Needs

A — Assess Yourself First

Before seeking the right partner, become clear on who you are today.
Ask:
What values matter most to me?
What do I need in a relationship?
What patterns do I keep repeating?
What am I no longer willing to tolerate?
Outcome: Self-awareness replaces wishful thinking.

L — List Your Non-Negotiables
Separate wants from needs.
Needs
Respect
Trust
Emotional safety
Shared values
Reliability
Preferences
Height
Career
Hobbies
Appearance
Ask: "If everything else disappeared, what qualities would still matter?"
Outcome: Greater clarity and fewer poor matches.

I — Imagine the Relationship
Focus less on the person and more on the experience.
Ask:
How do I want to feel?
How do we communicate?
How do we handle conflict?
How do we support each other's growth?
Create a vivid picture of:
Daily life
Shared experiences
Emotional connection
Outcome: Your brain begins recognising opportunities aligned with your vision.

G — Grow Into the Partner You Seek
Often we seek qualities we are not yet fully expressing ourselves.
If you want:
Honesty → practise honesty.
Emotional intelligence → strengthen your own.
Kindness → embody kindness.
Confidence → build confidence.
Ask: "Am I becoming the kind of partner I hope to meet?"
Outcome: Greater congruence and authenticity.

N — Notice and Navigate
Pay attention to real-world evidence.
When meeting someone:
Do they align with your values?
Are actions matching words?
How do you feel after spending time with them?
Is there consistency?
Use curiosity rather than fantasy.
Outcome: Better decisions and healthier relationships.
The ALIGN™ Reflection Questions
What are my top five relationship values?
What relationship patterns am I ready to leave behind?
What emotional needs deserve more attention?
What qualities do I bring to a relationship?
How will I recognise a healthy partnership when I see it?

Catherine Gallacher's Relationship Principle
"The goal is not to find someone who completes you. The goal is to build a life so aligned with your values that the right person naturally fits within it."
